Private Access to Walkways and Heritage Forest
Hanmer View has its own gateway onto the renowned Conical Hill walkway, providing access to many of the glorious walks and mountain-bike tracks in and around the basin.

A ten minute stroll takes you to the heart of the alpine village of Hanmer Springs with its renowned hot pools plus many first class restaurants, coffee bars and shops plus a range of walks and activities to suit all age groups. For the energetic you may like to take walk up to the top of Conical Hill with views out over Jacks Pass or through the commercial forest to the waterfall and Mt Isabel from where the views rival the best to be found in the Amuri Basin. Some of the bush and forest walks wind their way through one of New Zealand’s oldest exotic forests.
Stretch your legs and stroll around the garden or sit on the balcony and watch the resident Bellbirds, Fantails and Tuis (NZ native birds) who may greet you with their song in the morning. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the garden.
Your suites are designed for guests to enjoy the peaceful views. The outdoors has been brought inside by the provision of a large windows and doors opening directly onto the balcony with glorious panoramic views of the village, basin, mountains and forest. The ensuited rooms are a generous size. Your room has a queen, super king or twin single beds with quality linen, is tastefully decorated and has a TV/DVD and refreshment facilities. The ensuited bathrooms have showers with endless hot water - bliss! Enjoy the views from your balcony and sit with your glass of wine, watch the sun set over the Lewis Pass and western alps, and the stunning night sky sparkle in the clean fresh mountain air.
Seating is provided outside your rooms and garden chairs are located around the property, so you can capture a sunrise or a sunset, depending on the time of the day, from almost anywhere on the property.
